Elastic couplings or flexible couplings are connection systems between pairs of shafts, they serve to compensate for misalignments between shafts and absorb vibrations that may occur between these elements.
There are various models of elastic coupling – Controlflex, Gummi tubular, FU with rubber rollers, Servoflex SFC, Servoclass, Composite CD hybrid FU-Zero-Max, for wind turbines, Omniflex Schmidt Kupplung, bellows, Loewe GK, Semiflex, gear, rigid, flexible Layrub, adapter for cantilever, disc, star, chain and Rimtec encapsulated axles. Its use extends the life of the machinery thanks to its resistance to chemical products, so it saves on the replacement of components, increasing the interval between replacements. They also dampen vibrations and shocks that occur and prevent friction wear of components, which increases useful life.
