The FU-Turbostart Hydraulic Centrifugal Brake is for applications such as lowering rescue boats, etc., where the centrifugal force of the drum provides speed on the brake blades and the viscosity of the oil provides a resistant torque achieving controlled braking.
Hydraulic centrifugal brakes are supplied with stainless steel components and special seals for the marine environment.
